When you’re marketing a product that people don’t know they want, is email marketing a useful tool? Good product and the boss wants results, but small budget for it of course…
If you have no prior relationship with the email receipients, NO.
Because basically you'll be spamming them — and that could lead to your website or ISP to be blacklisted. Or worse, get sued for violating the CAN-SPAM Act. You'll be starting off on the wrong foot
If you want to do email marketing, understand the spam laws. Then start building your list. Or buy into email lists of others – there are companies that offer solo mailing ads to their email subscribers and you can rent their list for a fee.
